Everyone who has a website needs a program to drive traffic to it. If no one ever sees your website, it might as well not exist. The following internet marketing system steps provide a systematic blueprint on how you can drive traffic to your website in as little as 24 hours. All of the techniques listed are free.
Are you familiar with the TV show, “24″, starring Keiffer Sutherland as Agent Jack Bauer? The show is premised on showing what happens in one day, one hour at a time. Well, I am not Jack Bauer, so I can’t promise you traffic in an hour. But, my name is Jack and I can promise you some in 24!
Introducing, Jack’s 24 Hour Traffic Plan !
This method will start getting you traffic in 24 hours. First, be absolutely sure that you have an opt in form (email sign up) prominently displayed in your sidebar and your promotional giveaway, above the fold. Some of this I might have duplicated in previous posts, but it will not hurt to list them again. if you have any questions about any particular step, please leave a comment and I will try to answer them.
Jack’s 24 Hour Traffic Plan
1.Choose a targeted buyer keyword phrase (Google keyword tool)
2. Submit website to social bookmarking websites (www.onlywire.com & www.socialmarking.com). I use Onlywire. It will take you a couple of hours to sign up for all the services and set up the accounts. I suggest you download Roboform (its free), to fill in all the forms to join these sites.
3. Ping your website using www.PingOmatic.com. You need to not only ping the main page of your site, but also the page that contains your free offer and opt in form. You can ping about every 3 days if you like. You can also sign up for pingler.com, which will automatically ping up to 25 urls every 3 days for $3 a month.
4. Create a blog on www.blogger.com. Make sure your keyword is in the name of your blog. (If you used WordPress as I suggested to create your website, then you will now have 2 blogs. That’s a good thing. But do not duplicate posts, at least at first. If you do want the hassle of duplicate posts, then skip this step.)
5. Submit the RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed of your Blogger blog to www.FeedAgg.com and www.FeedBase.net. You can burn your feed at www.feedburner.com. Be sure to add the code they request for both of these sites on your Blogger blog. Do the same for any other blogs you have.
6. Ping your Blogger blog.
7. Write a press release on your website. Submit it to; www.free-press-release.com, www.i-newswire.com, www.pressreleasespider.com, and www.pr-log.com. Make sure you follow the guidelines for each site. Be sure the name of your website (keyword phrase) in your press release title.
8. Write an article on your business or website and submit it too www.Zimbio.com and www.Squidoo.com.
9. Create a short video on your business or website and submit it to www.YouTube.com, www.Revver.com, and www.RealPeopleRealStuff.com. To create a video, first go to www.Stock.xchng.com to find some free, royalty free pictures to use in your video. Next go to Audacity and download their free audio software. Use Audacity to record your article as an MP3 file (this will be the audio for your video). Next, open up the Windows Moviemaker software on your computer. Import your pictures and audio file. Submit the finished video to the previously listed sites. Be sure to include your keyword phrase in the tile of the video and your website url in the very first sentence of your video description.
10. Create a short 2 or 3 sentence classified advertisement about your business and the free product, report, etc. you are giving away. Then, submit the ad to craigslist.org, backpage.com, and Oodle.com. Again, be sure to include the keyword phrase in the title of the ad.
11. Go to FindBlogs.com. Find and join 3 forums in your niche. Add your website address into the signature block in your profile. Then find the welcome area and post a hello that you have joined the form. After your post is posted, Ping the post. When you revisit these forums make comments and posts. These will increase your visibility. Be sure to Ping your posts every time you make one.
12. Create a podcast radio show about your business at www.BlogTalkRadio.com.
13. Create a www.Twitter.com account. Be sure to include your keyword or phrase in your user name. Search Twitter and sign up to follow others in your niche.
14. Go to www.Selfpromotion.com and create an account. Selfpromotion.com submits to dozens of directories and will get your site listed quick.
All of these steps will take you about 4-6 hours of work, maybe more if you are unfamiliar with the internet. When you are done, mark down the time you finished all of them. Wait 24 hours, and then go check your traffic numbers at Statcounter. I guarantee that you will have had visitors to your site!
Do you want to build up the backlinks to your site too? More backlinks, means higher rankings, which translates into more traffic. Keep on posting on your blog (make sure the posts have a link back to your website), pinging the posts, and be sure to bookmark those posts via the social bookmarking service you decided to use. After 30 days, go to www.backlinkwatch.com. They have a free service that will list for you all of the links that have been indexed.
