When it comes to search engine marketing, the biggest is Google Adwords, but many people are critical of the Google’s iron fist approach to doing business. There are many complaints voiced on the internet about Google’s lack of personal communication with their customers. As a result, more people than ever are using Microsoft Adcenter.
Many people search Microsoft Yahoo advertising Adcenter, looking for bargains. Actually, Yahoo is no longer responsible for MSN’s PPC (pay per click) advertising. That is how it was until late in 2006, when Microsoft came up with MSN Adcenter.
Here is one of the big complaints about Google Adwords: You create a campaign. You fund it. Google takes your money, but then their software triggers a review & your account gets frozen. You are notified that they will review it, but then weeks later, your ads are still frozen.
The biggest gripe may be that their money is in limbo. They can not take it out and go somewhere else. It is almost being held hostage. It might not matter for wealthy customers, but for most people it is a major problem.
If you aren’t a high roller, they give you no way to reach them. You just have to keep waiting. Do you see why people are switching over to Microsoft Adcenter?
Google’s response to criticism is that they are the victims of success. They say they can’t afford to give everyone traditional customer service. Critics contend they are just too greedy to spend the money.
But, one thing everyone agrees on is the fact that pay per click advertising is a revolutionary change, because of the way it allows you to target prospects and niches in ways that were seem unbelievable in the past. It is possible due to search engines & keyword research. A keyword is whatever anybody types into a search engine to help them find something.
A number of search engines, including Microsoft Adcenter provide tools that that will tell you how many times a keyword is searched for, on a monthly average. Even better, some of these tools will even give you hundreds of related keywords when you enter a keyword. This gives you information you would have never come up with on your on.
You can get your ad on the first page of search results if you bid high enough. That is why this is so powerful. Instead of competing with millions of websites, you can get your ad on the first page, and you only get charged when someone actually clicks on your ad. However, the price of keywords are higher when they are popular.
So, instead of bidding on the most popular ones, your research will show you related keywords that don’t have nearly as much competition. This will make them more affordable. Microsoft Adcenter is far superior in terms of honing in a demographic categories, and showing your ads only to people with certain buying behaviors. They have massive amounts of data collected from MSN’s . NET passport system, which makes this possible.
