amp;lt;divamp;gt;If you have ever pursued PPC, pay per click, advertising simply to be met with poor results, then we do understand the feeling. If you would like to try it, then you are undoubtedly able to learn and be successful using it. If you’re a veteran of using Adwords, then you more than likely know they have modified a lot of their policies in recent times. Their new Terms of Service have hit hard with many advertisers, but it helps to understand the reasons those changes were designed. There really are a variety of critical areas that must be executed right before you can make money with almost any PPC ad program and not just Adwords. We need to focus on an aspect of PPC campaigns that will basically make or break your efforts.amp;lt;br /amp;gt;When you’re putting together your Adwords campaigns, then you simply must earn a high quality score from Google. The best feasible rating is a ten, unsurprisingly.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
amp;lt;divamp;gt;Your quality score will have a visible impact on your costs per click, ad placement and basically everything. The standard we would like to examine is relevance, and that is extremely essential for you to know and have right. The basic idea is for all of your PPC ads to contain relevance, and that really is all about the end user. Nevertheless, that is not just for their interest, you need to have for your prospects and even your self. You can work to create the most relevant experience in several different ways.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
amp;lt;divamp;gt;amp;lt;br /amp;gt;You can still develop a list with Adwords, so that will mean you have to make a modified landing page because that is where people will go first. Briefly, you can no longer use the usual type of squeeze page at Adwords because it is considered too thin or not enough content. The different landing page will have links to articles and other content, and you just need to do a little more, these days. So first, the person who just clicked on your ad comes with specific expectations. That would seem like common sense, but we certainly have witnessed and read about advertisers who violate this important principle.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
amp;lt;divamp;gt;amp;lt;br /amp;gt;If you will be using this type of upgraded squeeze page, for Google Adwords, then this landing page will have to be relevant in all ways to your primary site. Your principal money site and the landing page you use have to be congruent meaning they are relevant to one another in all ways. Again, this requires that your sites employed in that promotion more or less can either be identical, with header and colors, or they are relevant. Hopefully it is apparent that there must be agreement with material or what the visitor is expecting to see. This has an effect on your visitor which will work to your advantage. The effect is intended in the direction of your prospective customers, and that is to help make the person feel more secure. So that is what we indicate by having relevancy in your overall advertising campaign, and the result can be impressive.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;

A great way to drive traffic to your site is through Facebook or Banner advertising.  Ads in either of these methods can be made on a Cost per Click (CPC) basis or Cost per Impression (CPM).

Traditional practice is the following;

CPC is most often preferable for advertisers that want viewers to actually click on the ad and then are taken to your website. You only pay if someone actually clicks on the ad.

CPM can be preferable if you are just trying to build a presence or brand. You pay for every 1,000 people who see your ad. They do not have to click on it for you to get charged.

However, there is another way of thinking.  Justin Brooke, author of SEO Lies, offers this advice;

My final tip is to get you to pay per impression – DO NOT pay per click. Here’s a little example to explain why you should choose CPM over CPC.

CPC MODEL -> 1,000 views @ $0.50 cpc x 10 clicks = $5.00
CPM MODEL -> 1,000 views @ $0.50 cpm x 10 clicks = $0.50

Most marketers get scared and pay CPC to insure they get the clicks, because on CPM you can pay for impressions but never get a click. Even if I only get 5 clicks out of 1,000 views and I’m paying $0.50cpm that’s still 5 clicks for just $0.50.”

Justin goes on to further state that;

You, “Just need to start out slow and test different ads to see which ones get clicked. Then once you know what catches their eye you’ve got just about all the traffic you can shake a stick at coming your way for pennies!”

Good advice. Remember, the key to a successful ad campaign in any medium, whether it be internet, print, etc., is to test,test, and test again. Always monitor your ad campaign results and modify it as necessary.
