Google Places is the local business center. If a search is done for one of the business categories that Google lists, then Google “reads” the geographical location and returns a map listing of those businesses. One out of five searches on Google are related to location.

SEO is the practice of optimizing your website for your target keyword phrases and getting links from other websites to yours so the search engines find and rank your website.
